Our fundraising partner!
When we started the SoC initiative in 2020 we researched a handful of possible fundraising partners. We felt very strongly that any effort in this regard needed to be LOCKED with established/reliable/reputable nonprofit brain cancer research organization. We also wanted the availability of having funds of SoC efforts to be donated directly to this charitable organization on the behalf of Neil Peart (though SoC fundraisers). We found that partner in the American Brain Tumor Association (www.abta.org)! The below link has images of some of the official correspondence

Touring around Allaire Studios (for SoC2, '22)

For my MOST EXCELLENT adventure for the "Celebrate seven 29" (SoC2) fundraiser, I planned a weekend motorcycle ride/tour around Allaire Studies (Catskills NY region). I chose this area as the pair of drumsticks I got from Neil was at a show on their Snakes and Arrows tour (and the S&A album was recorded at Allaire)! It was a glorious 3 days of riding and I captured a bit on video (see link below!)

A visit to a NEP "crash site"
(for SoC3, '23)
For SoC3, I decided to head out to a location in PA that had a bit of significance to NEP. He discusses this all in an installment of his News, Weather Sports (linked below). The story involves what NEP describes as his worst motorcycle crash - though in the end, he was ok. This took place near the town of Union Dale in PA in September of 2010.
